In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act, and 5CFR 1320, OMB disapproves
the Volunteer Severe Weather Observer Reports because it fails to
meet the Act's practical utility test. NOAA has not adequately
justified the need for this information. It appears to merely
supplement data already taken by trained officials with the
National Severe Storm Laboratory.

DATA ON SEVERE STORMS TO THE NATIONAL SEVERE STORMS LABORATORY,
WHICH USES THE DATA IN ITS BASIC AND APPLIED RESEAR ON
STORMS.
