Abstract: EPA PERFORMS AN EXTERNAL AUDIT ON LABORATORIES THAT MAKE AMBIENT SOURCE MEASUREMENTS THAT ARE REPORTED TO EPA DATA BANKS. THE AGENCY USES THE AUDIT INFORMATION TO EVALUATE THE QUALITY OF THE LABORATORY DATA AND ITS ACCEPTABILITY FOR ASSESSING TRENDS IN AIR QUALITY.
