Abstract: THE UNITED STATES MINT INTENDS TO CONDUCT A ONE-TIME RANDUM SURVEY OF THE PUBLIC. THE SURVEY EXAMINES COIN DEMAND FORECASTS WHICH FORM THE BASIS FOR SHORT-TERM BUDGET PLANNING AND LONG-TERM STRATEGIC PLANNING. AMONG THE FACTORS INCLUDED IN THE FORECAST MODEL ARE THE RATE OF COINS LOST ANNUALLY AND THE STOCK REMAINING IN CIRCULATION.
