conduct a survey of coins received by Federal Reserve Banks for
comparison with the result of this survey, and 4) a copy of the
final report of the survey result will be provided to OMB.

THE UNITED STATES MINT INTENDS TO
CONDUCT A ONE-TIME RANDUM SURVEY OF THE PUBLIC. THE SURVEY EXAMINES
COIN DEMAND FORECASTS WHICH FORM THE BASIS FOR SHORT-TERM BUDGET
PLANNING AND LONG-TERM STRATEGIC PLANNING. AMONG THE FACTORS
INCLUDED IN THE FORECAST MODEL ARE THE RATE OF COINS LOST ANNUALLY
AND THE STOCK REMAINING IN CIRCULATION.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
