Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY IS TO OBTAIN DATA ON THE POLICIES AND PRACTICES OF LOCAL SCHOOL SYSTEMS AS THEY PERTAIN TO INSTRUCTION IN THE VISUAL ARTS, MUSIC, HISTORY, LITERATURE, FOREIGN LANGUAGES AND ALLIED SUBJECTS. CONGRESS REQUIRED THE CONDUCT OF THIS STUDY.
