Abstract: "SOUTH AMERICA TODAY" WAS A SERIEW OF PILOT SEMINARS HELD IN 1985 AND 1986 FOR 30 FACULTY TEACHING LATIN AMERICAN SUBJECTS IN AMERICAN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. USIA WILL DISTRIBUTE QUESTIONNAIRES TO PARTICIPANTS TO DETERMINE SEMINARS' IMPACT ON PARTICIPANTS' TEACHING AND SCHOLARSHIP AND ON THEIR INSTITUTIONS. RESULTS WILL INFORM FUTURE PROGRAMMING.
