SECTION 1622 OF PUB. L. 99-145 ENACTED
NOV. 8, 1985, PROVIDES THAT PERSONS WHO FAIL TO REGISTER AS
REQUIRED UNDER THE SELECTIVE SERVICE LAW ARE INELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL
APPOINTMENT. AGENCIES WILL USE THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY
APPLICANTS ON THE STATEMENT TO DETERMINE WHETHER IT IS LAWFUL TO
APPOINT THEM.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
