with 5 USC 1320, OMB approves the information collection
"High-technology Branch Plants as Labor-oriented Industries in the
South," subject to the condition that a question be placed on the
survey indicating when the branch plant located in the community
and that the burden be changed to one quarter hour per plant
manager to reflect the true time allocation for filling out the
survey.

EXPERIENCING AN INDUSTRIALIZATION PROCESS LED BY BRANCH PLANTS,
MANY O WHICH ARE ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS OF HIGH-TECHNOLOGY
MANUFACTURERS. RELATIVELY LITTLE IS KNOWN ABOUT THEIR LOCATIONAL
NEEDS, ESPECIALLY REGARDING LABOR TYPES. THE EDA NEEDS SPECIFIC
SURVEY DATA ON THESE NEEDS TO ASSIST IN ATTRACTING MANUFACTURING TO
DISTRESSED AREAS.
