WE HAVE APPROVED
THESE RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS THROUGH MARCH 1988, IN LIGHT OF
THE AGENCY'S SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS TO REVIEW AND REDUCE REGULATORY
PAPERWORK BURDENS IN OTHER, HIGHER PRIORITY AREAS. HOWEVER, IT
APPEARS THAT A CERTIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE, AS DEFINED IN
5CFR1320.7(K)(1), WOULD FULFILL THE AGENCY'S MISSION WHILE IMPOSING
LESS BURDEN. IN ORDER TO ALLOW US TO EXTEND APPROVAL OF THIS
RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENT PAST MARCH 1988 THE AGENCY MUST SCHEDULE
A REGULATORY REVIEW IN THE 1988 REGULATORY PROGRAM OF THE UNITED
STATES GOVERNMENT. THE SCHEDULE SHOULD INCLUDE DATES FOR PROPOSED
AND FINAL RULES.
