Abstract: THE ODOMETER DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS REQUIRED BY 15 USC 1988 ARE USED BY MOTOR VEHICLE PURCHASERS TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION AND VALUE OF THE VEHICLES THEY BUY. THEY ARE ALSO USED AS EVIDENCE IN CRIMINAL AND CIV ACTIONS FOR PROVIDING VIOLATIONS OF THE TRUTH IN MILEAGE ACT.
