In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, OMB approves this information collection until
July 1, 1988. At that time, the International Trade Administration
(ITA) must explore and report on two possible modifications to the
Statement. First, ITA should examine raising the floor on exports
needing a Statement from $5000 to $10,000 or $15,000. Second, ITA
should look at extending the validity of the Statement from the
current two years to three or four years. Finally, OMB suggests
that ITA clarify its regulations at 15 CFR 375.2 (a) to indicate
that the Statement is not just used for licenses where the ultimate
destination is Country Group Q, S, V, W, Y, or Z.
