Abstract: THE REVISION WILL REQUIRE OWNERS/OPERATORS OF FOSSIL FUEL-FIRED STEAM GENERATORS SUBJECT TO SUBPART D OF THE NSPS TO CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR SO2 EMISSIONS AND TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE WITH THE SO2 STANDARD ON A 30-DAY ROLLING AVERAGE BASIS. EACH 30-DAY ROLLING AVERAGE SO2 EMISSIO RATE WOULD BE SUBMITTED TO EPA IN A QUARTERLY COMPLIANCE REPORT. THE INFORMATION IS NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT THE STANDARD IS ACHIEVED ON A CONTINUOUS BASIS.
