REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE INTERSTATE
MOVEMENT OF LIVESTOCK ARE NEEDED TO PREVENT THE INTERSTATE
DISSEMINATION OF PSEUDORABIES. PSEUDORABIES, ALSO KNOWN AS
AUJESZKY'S DISEASE, MAD ITCH, AND INFECTIOUS BULBAR PARALYSIS, IS
PRIMARILY A DISEASE OF SWINE CAUSED BY A HERPES VIRUS. THIS DISEASE
IS DEADLY IN ANIMALS OTHER THAN SWINE.
