Abstract: 'THEP PROPOSED DATA COLLECTIONS ARE CRITICAL TO THE EVALUATION OF THE EXTEND ALTERNATIVE ISSUANCE DEMONSTRATION CURRENTLY BEING OPERATED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE IN READING, PA. THEY WILL ASSESS THE DESIRABILITY AND COST-EFFECTIVENESS OF A REDESIGNED SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC ISSUANCE OF FOOD STAMP BENEFITS. DATA WILL BE COLLECTED FROM FOOD RETAILERS AND WELFARE DEPARTMENT STAFF.
