CRITICAL TO THE EVALUATION OF THE EXTEND ALTERNATIVE ISSUANCE
DEMONSTRATION CURRENTLY BEING OPERATED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE IN READING, PA. THEY WILL ASSESS THE
DESIRABILITY AND COST-EFFECTIVENESS OF A REDESIGNED SYSTEM FOR
ELECTRONIC ISSUANCE OF FOOD STAMP BENEFITS. DATA WILL BE COLLECTED
FROM FOOD RETAILERS AND WELFARE DEPARTMENT STAFF.
