Abstract: ONWERS AND OPERATORS OF STEAM GENERATING UNITS WITH HEAT INPUT CAPACITIES GREATER THAN 29 MW (100 MILLION BTU/HR) WILL BE REQUIRED TO MONITOR OPACITY AND NITROGEN OXIDES AND SUBMIT QUARTERLY REPORTS OF EXCESS EMISSIONS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE TEST RESULTS. THIS INFORMATION IS NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT AFFECTED FACILITIES COMPLY WITH THE SO2 EMISSION STANDARDS ESTABLISHED UNDER THE NSPS.
