Abstract: PBGC FORM 1-ES IS NEEDED SO THAT PENSION PLANS WITH 500 OR MORE PARTICIPANTS CAN MORE EASILY FILE AND PAY THE FLAT RATE PER CAPITA PREMIUM ASSESSMENT THAT IS DUE TO THE PBGC TWO MONTHS AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE PRIOR PLAN YEAR. THE PAPERWORK BURDEN IS IMPOSED UNDER 29 CFR PART 2610.
