Abstract: THE COHORT OF THE 1977-1982 NSF/SBIR GRANTEES TO BE SAMPLED IS UNIQUE TO THE FOUNDATION, PREDATING THE 1982 SBIR ACT, WITH 5 TO 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOUNDATION'S PRIVATE SECTOR FOLLOW-ON COMMITMENT REQUIREMENT.
