Abstract: THE NATIONAL COMMISSION ON ORPHAN DISEASES PROPOSES TO SURVEY RESEARCHERS APPLYING FOR GRANTS TO THE NIH, ADAMHA, AND FDA TO IDENTIFY DIFFICULTIES THE RESEARCHERS MAY HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN ACCOMPLISHING THEIR RESEARCH GOALS IN THE AREA OF RARE DISEASES. RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE SENT TO CONGRESS AND THE ADMINISTRATION.
