Abstract: THE INFORMATION COLLECTED BY USE OF FORM SSA-2574 IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE WHETHER FUNDS IN A JOINT BANK ACCOUNT BELONG TO THE SSI APPLICANT RECIPIENT AND TO ENSURE THAT THE INDIVIDUAL'S RESOURCES DO NOT EXCEED THE ALLOWABLE LIMITS.
