Abstract: THE VEHICLE LEASING SUPPLEMENT IS NEEDED TO TEST A MORE COMPREHENSIVE SET OF LEASING QUESTIONS THAN CURRENTLY APPEARS ON THE QUARTERLY INTERVIEW SURVEY. THE DATA WILL BE ANALYZED TO DETERMINE THE SUITABILITY OF A CONCEPTUAL CHANGE IN THE TREATMENT OF NEW VEHICLES IN THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX.
