Abstract: USDA/FNS NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT VENDOR MANAGEMENT PRACTICES WIC STATE AGENCIES ARE USING TO PREVENT, DETECT, MONITOR AND IMPOSE SANCTIONS FOR WIC OR FRAUD AND SERIOUS FORMS OF ABUSE, AND IN WHAT TYPES OF SETTINGS SUCH PRACTICES A USED. THIS INFORMATION WILL ASSIST FNS TO DEVELOP GUIDELINES AND REGULATIONS TO IMPROVE THE FINANCIAL AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT OF THE WIC PROGRAM.
