Abstract: THIS REGULATION REDUCES THE RECORD KEEPING REQUIREMENT FOR CLINICAL LABORATORIES THAT ARE CLIA LICENSED OR MEDICARE APPROVED AND NOT SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FROM MEDICARE FOR THIS TESTING BY ELIMINATING MAINTAINING THE NAME AND IDENTIFICATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHOSE SPECIMENS ARE SUBMITTED FOR HIV TESTING.
