Terms of Clearance: Approved with the understanding that Customs will inform OMB of major developments affecting the revision of Form 7501. As part of this process Customs will brief OMB in January or February 1989 concerning the outcome of the piolet project to improve the processing of paper submission of Form 7501. In addition, as background for the revision of form 7501 Customs will provide : 1) by October 15, 1988, a copy of memoranda of understanding concerning data planned to be provided to other agencies and statutory provisions underlying information requirements along with a summary of agency requirements and 2) a copy of the Customs valuation "blue book."
