Abstract: INFORMATION IS USED TO MONITOR STATE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INITIAL REGULATORY PROGRAM, TO DETERMINE WHEN FEDERAL INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED, TO BRING PRE-EXISTING, NON-CONFORMIN STRUCTURES INTO COMPLIANCE, AND TO EXEMPT SMALL OPERATORS FROM SOME PERFORMANCE STANDARDS UNDER THE INITIAL REGULATORY PROGRAM. THESE PROVISIONS, WHILE STILL CODIFIED IN CFR, ARE NO LONGER EFFECTIVE.
