THIS DATA COLLECTION IS A RESULT OF
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF P.L. 98-474. THIS LEGISLATION REQUIRES
CIGARETTE MANUFACTURERS, PACKAGERS, AND IMPORTERS TO SUBMIT A LIST
OF THE INGREDIENTS ADDED TO TOBACCO IN THE MANUFACTUR OF
CIGARETTES. THIS LIST SHOULD INCLUDE EACH INGREDIENT ADDITIVE, ALO
WITH ITS COMMON NAME, CHEMICAL NAME, AND CHEMICAL ABSTRACT NUMBER
(CAS AND HE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY, DHHS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
