Abstract: ERISA REQUIRES MULTIEMPLOYER PLAN SPONSORS TO REDETERMINE EMPLOYERS' WITHDRAWAL LIABILITIES AND FULLY ALLOCATE UNFUNDED VESTED BENEFITS AMO EMPLOYERS THAT PARTICIPATE IN MASS WITHDRAWAL. THIS REGULATION PROVIDE GUIDANCE TO PLAN SPONSORS ON HOW TO REDETERMINE AND ALLOCATE LIABILITY AND REQUIRES THEM TO ISSUE NOTICES OF THE DETERMINATIONS TO EMPLOYERS AND PBGC.
