THE NPIP IS A VOLUNTARY STATE FEDERAL
PROGRAM FOR IMPROVEMENT OF POULTRY BREEDING FLOCKS, AND IDENTIFIES
BREEDING FLOCKS WHICH HAVE TESTED NEGATIVE FOR CERTAIN DISEASES.
DATA OBTAINED FROM THIS SURVEY WILL PERMIT VETERINARY SERVICES TO
PLAN FOR SUFFICIENT ANTIGEN, SEROTYPING SERVICES, AND
EPIDEMIOLOGICAL TRACE-BACK TO PROPER IDENTIFY NEGATIVE
FLOCKS.
