This Information
Collection Request is approved as amended by EPA's letter of
December 20, 1988 from M. Prothro to A. Fraas. The change t make
Tables 2-H, 2-I, and 2-J optional was suggested by EPA in the
November 14, 1988 Federal Register notice and was widely supported
by respondants. OMB concludes that the public has had ample notice
of th change and additional comment would not result in new
information. As result and for the sake of expediency, OMB is
approving the financial portion (Part B) of the Pesticide
Manufacturing Census immediately unt April 1990 (the requested
expiration date). Given the comments from respondants on the burden
estimate, OMB is revising upward the burden hours cleared even
though the modification lowers overall burden. The new estimate is
based on an original per respondant burden of 300 hour with a 50%
reduction for the modification or 150 hours per respondant.
