Abstract: AUTOMATED VITAL SYSTEM RULES ARE NECESSARY TO PROMOTE THE SAFETY OF LI AT SEA ON U.S. COAST GUARD CERTIFIED VESSELS. THE COAST GUARD REVIEWS PLANS, TESTS, AND PROCEDURES TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE AND EVALUATE NECESSARY MANNING OF AUTOMATED VESSELS. AUTOMATED VESSEL DESIGNERS, SHIPYARDS, MANUFACTURERS, OWNERS AND CREWMEMBERS AREA AFFECTED.
