Abstract: AM RADIO BROADCASTING, COMMUNICATIONS OPERATIONS' THE FCC IS PROPOSING TO REVISE THE CURRENT METHOD OF CALCULATING RSS (ROOT-SUM-SQUARE) VALUES. IF THIS PROPOSAL IS ULTIMATELY ADOPTED, IT SHOULD IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF AM SERVICE BY MINIMIZING NEW INTERFERENC THAT COULD RESULT IN THE FUTURE FROM NEW AM STATIONS OR CHANGES TO THE FACILITIES OF EXISTING STATIONS.
