Abstract: THE PERMIT IS USED TO IMPLEMENT A BACKCOUNTRY RESERVATION SYSTEM OR PROVIDE ACCESS INTO BACKCOUNTRY ZONE WHERE USER LIMITS ARE IMPOSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS FOUND AT TITLE 36 C.F.R., SEC. 1.5, 1.6 AND 2.10. SUCH PERMITTING ENHANCES HAZARD WARNINGS, SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORTS AND RESOURCE PROTECTION.
