This ICR is
approved on the condition that a burden box statement (see 5 CFR
1320.21) be added to the application/reapplication questionaire(see
40 CFR 125, Subpart G, Appendix A & B) by August 1, 1989. This
can be accomplished by inserting the appropriate disclosur of
burden in the instructions or in a separate cover letter (NOTE: EPA
should seriously consider referencing the new OMB number and
expiratio date in the letter or instructions.). In addition, as EPA
revises the 301(h) regulations, it should conduct an evaluation of
the application reapplication questionaire to determine if all the
information request is necessary and meets the PRA regulatory
requirements (see 5 CFR 1320.4). In addition, EPA shall amend the
burden estimates as necessary using a ICW, to reflect the current
status of this program, not the Fall 1987 base used in the
supporting statement. EPA should submit renewal ICRs in a more
timely manner (i.e. three months before expiration).
