Abstract: MORE ACCURATE INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO BETTER UNDERSTAND WHY SOME WOMEN DELIVER VERY LOW BIRTH WEIGHT INFANTS OR SUFFER FETAL DEATHS. THIS SURVEY WILL COLLECT POPULATION-BASED DATA WHICH CAN BE USED TO EXAMINE THIS MAJOR PUBLIC HEALTH PROBLEM IN ORDER TO DESIGN FUTURE INTERVENTION STRATEGIES TO REDUCE INFANT MORTALITY.
