Abstract: THE REFUGEE ACT OF 1980 AS AMENDED AUTHORIZES AWARD OF GRANTS TO SEAS TO ASSIST LEAS IN PROVIDING SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO MEET THE SPECIAL NEE OF REFUGEE CHILDREN. THIS IS A FORMULA GRANT PROGRAM. THE AMOUNT OF GRANT DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE REFUGEE CHILDREN ENROLLED. AND REGULATIONS.
