Abstract: THE INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO IDENTIFY UNKNOWN MOTOR CARRIERS OPERATING IN INTERSTATE COMMERCE, UPDATE THE MOTOR CARRIER CENSUS, ISSUE REQUIRED USDOT NUMBER, REQUIRE CARRIERS TO CERTIFY THAT THEY ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY REGULATIONS, AND ASSIST FHWA IN PRIORITIZING MOTOR CARRIERS FOR CONTACT.
