THE SBA IS MANDATED BY CONGRESS TO
EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION
RESEARCH (SBIR) PROGRAM AND MAKE A REPORT TO CONGRESS. THE SBA
PLANS TO CONTINUE ITS SURVEY OF SBIR AWARDEES TO DETERMINE THE
EXTENT OF COMMERCIALIZATION ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN TO MARKET THE
PRODUCT DEVELOPED UNDER THIS PROGRAM.
