In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, this NDATUS submission is
approved through 4/30/90. As a condition of approval, OMB and the
Office of National Drug Control Policy expect HHS to conduct a data
collection on the public and private treatment prevention programs
in the United States no later than March 1, 1990. This data
collection should be drawn from the most current validated list of
NDATUS respondents and obtain data from a sample of treatment
centers themselves, and shall include, but will not be limited to,
data on: waiting lists, recidivism, methadone, success rates, drug
dependent pregnant women, and HIV prevalence, in compliance with
the statutory requirements contained in section 2052 of the Anti
Drug Abuse Act of 1988 (P.L. 100-690). In order to meet the March
1, 1990 deadline, the necessary planning meeting between the three
agencies will be scheduled to take place no later than September
15, 1989.

DRUG ABUSE, ALCOHOL ABUSE, TREATMENT,
INVENTORY, FACILITY (FACILITIES INFORMATION COLLECTED BY NDATUS ON
THE LOCATION, SCOPE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF ALL KNOWN DRUG AND
ALCOHOL ABUSE TREATMENT AND PROVENTION PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED
