Abstract: SAVINGS AND LOAN, QUARTERLY FINANCIAL REPORTS. THE AGENCY COLLECTS FINANCIAL DATA FROM INSURED INSTITUTIONS IN ORDER TO ASSURE THEIR SAFETY AND SOUNDNESS AS DEPOSITORIES OF THE PERSONAL SAVINGS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE AGENCY MONITORS TRENDS IN FINANCIAL POSITION SO THAT ADVERSE CONDITIONS CAN BE REMEDIED PROMPTLY. THE RESPONDENTS ARE PRIMARILY SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS.
