Abstract: LEGISLATION REQUIRES THAT THE SECRETARY MAKE GRANTS TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS TO ASSIST IN THE ACQUISITION OF FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT AND IN THE PROVISION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TEACHER TRAINING, AS WELL AS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING. PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO SCHOOLS WHICH ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE CHAPTER FUNDS.
