NIEHS IS COMMITTED TO EXPLORING
MARKERS OF REPRODUCTIVE FUNCTION THAT MAY SERVE AS SCREENING TOOLS
IN POPULATIONS EXPOSED TO ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS. THIS STUDY WILL
EVALUATE THE EFFECT OF MENSTRUAL FUNCTION ON LONG-TERM DISEASE RISK
USING A COHORT OF 1,100 U.S. WOMEN WHO CONTRIBUTED PROSPECTIVE
MENSTRUAL CYCLE DATA OVER THEIR ENTIRE REPRODUCTIVE LIVES,
BEGINNING IN 1935.
