This information collection is approved until October, 1991. SSA will provide OMB with a one-year interim report and final reports on the findings of the Pain Instrument Development Studies. These reports are to contain a status report on pain evaluation, in particular how this study has affected the development, documentation, and assessment of individual chronic pain on the ability to perform basic work activities. In addition, the report should address the effects of pain paperwork on overall disability allowance and denial rates.
