Abstract: THE CREDIBILITY OF EMPLOYER-REPORTED WORK INJURY FATALITY DATA IS BEIN QUESTIONED. DEATH CERTIFICATE (DC) DATA IS OFTEN CITED TO SUPPORT THI CLAIM, YET THE VALIDITY OF DEATH CERTIFICATE "AT WORK" FATALITIES HAS NEVER BEEN EVALUATED. IN THIS STUDY, THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WILL VALIDATE DC AND OTHER FATALITY DATA SOURCE INFORMATION.
