Abstract: FORM 8816 IS USED BY INSURANCE COMPANIES CLAIMING AN ADDITIONAL DEDUCTION UNDER IRC SECTION 847, TO RECONCILE THEIR SPECIAL LOSS DISCOUNT, AND SPECIAL ESTIMATED TAX PAYMENTS, AND TO DETERMINE THEIR T BENEFIT ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEDUCTION.
