Terms of Clearance: In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, and after consultation with OMB General Counsel, this request is approved with the provision that the experimental question requesting a respondent waiver of confidentiality may not be used. The Census Bureau may either develop an alternative treatment without the waiver concept that is acceptable to NASS or eliminate the proposed 2500 observations which were allocated for this treatment. Before data collection begins, the Census Bureau should provide OMB with either a copy of the revised treatment or a sample size revision to eliminate the unused treatment.

Abstract: THIS IS A MULTI-PROCEDURAL TEST OF THE REPORT FORM FOR THE 1992 CENSUS OF AGRICULTURE, AND WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE CONTENT, WORDING, AND FORMAT BEFORE USE IN THE NATIONAL AGRICULTURE CENSUS. THE TEST COVERS A SAMPLY OF AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS, THE NATIONAL CENSUS INCLUDES ALL FARM AND RANCH OPERATIONS IN THE U.S. AS DEFINED IN SIC MAJOR GROUPS 0 AND 02.
