This information
collection is approved as amended. OMB and ED have been prevented
from making changes to the SAR and to the Application for Federal
Student Aid (AFSA) during review under the Paperwork Reduction Act
in the past because ED had made commitments which prevented it from
making changes to either the SAR or the AFSA. In order to eliminate
this problem, ED staff should meet with OMB staff prior to making
any final commitments which prevent ED from amending the next SAR
or AFSA.
