Abstract: THE DEPARTMENT IS REQUIRED TO CONSIDER THE VIEWS OF COMMUNITIES AND STATES IN ESTABLISHING BASIC ESSENTIAL AIR SERVICE DETERMINATIONS. THE QUESTIONNAIRE PROVIDES A MEANS BY WHICH STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS MAY PROVIDE INPUT TO THE DEPARTMENT CONCERNING THEIR AIR TRANSPORTATIO NEEDS.
