Abstract: IF A LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES FIRE PROTECTION FOR A FEDERALLY OWNED OFFICE, BASE, INSTALLATION, BUILDING, FOREST, OR OTHER FEDERAL REAL PROPERTY HOLDING, IT MAY OBTAIN REIMBURSEMENT FOR CERTAIN OF ITS COSTS IN FIGHTING FIRES ON THAT FEDERAL PROPERTY. REIMBURSEMENT IS AVAILABLE IF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS SUSTAINED COST ABOVE NORMAL OPERATING EXPENSE. NOT A GRANT.
