Abstract: THE BLS 1360 IS USED TO COLLECT MONTHLY DATA ON STRAIGHT-TIME EARNINGS FROM SELECTED SHIPYARDS. THESE INDEXES ARE USED BY THE NAVY DEPARTMENT AND THE MARITIME ADMINISTRATION FOR THE ADJUSTMENT OF REIMBURSEMENTS TO SHIPBUILDERS FOR LABOR COST INCURRED ON CERTAIN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS. BLS IS THE CONTRACT AGENCY FOR THE NAVY.
