This information collection is approved with the understanding that 1) Future patterns of care studies should incorporate controls for confounding patient lifestyle factors which may influence conclusions about the effectiveness of different treatment therapies. 2) NIH should begin to assess potential biases in existing studies due to the absence of these confounding lifestyle factors and whether the results of current studies should be reevaluated.
