AGENCIES TAKE JUVENILES INTO CUSTODY AND TO DETERMINE WHETHER THESE
AGENCIES' PRACTICES ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS
223(A)12(A), 13 AND 14 OF THE JJDP ACT. THE COORDINATING COUNCIL
WILL MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO IMPROVE FEDERAL PRACTICES AND
FACILITIES THAT HOLD JUVENILES IN CUSTODY, AS MANDATED.
