Abstract: THE FEDERAL INSECTICIDE, FUNGICIDE AND RODENTICIDE ACT ALLOWS STATES AND TERRITORIES TO REGISTER PESTICIDES FOR USE ONLY WITHIN THE STATE/TERRITORY TO MEET A SPECIAL LOCAL NEED. THE STATES/TERRITORIES NOTIFY THE AGENCY OF THIS REGISTRATION ACTION WHENEVER THEY TAKE SUCH REGULATORY ACTION. THE AGENCY USES THIS INFORMATION TO ASSURE CONFORMITY WITH THE FIFRA.
